| Intellectual Property In November 2000 the application for patent was filed in Norway for the Freebit-H1. This application led to the patent NO312989 granted in Norway July 2002. This has since led to a number of patent applications covering Europe (EP), China (CN), Japan (JP), South Korea (KR), USA (US), Australia (AU) and India (IN). Patent has since been granted in the USA September 2005. A positive indication has been received from the European and other patent authorities. No application has been rejected. The FreeBit® trademark is granted world-wide January 2006. The association of the brand FreeBit® will be developed around the statement “a bit of freedom”. The design of the FreeBit® is also protected through design registration. |
